1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or booking any photography services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using this website or booking services.
2. Services
Sacred Sage Photography provides professional photography services, including but not limited to:
Specific services, pricing, and deliverables will be outlined in individual contracts, proposals, or invoices.
3. Booking & Payment
A session is not considered booked until any required payment or retainer has been received and your reservation has been confirmed by Sacred Sage Photography. Depending on the type of session, additional terms may be outlined in a proposal, invoice, contract, or other written communication provided during the booking process. By completing your booking, you agree to both these Terms & Conditions and any additional written terms specific to your session.
4. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for arriving on time, dressed and prepared for their scheduled session. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session without a reduction in fees, as subsequent bookings cannot be delayed.
5. Rescheduling & Cancellations
Retainers are non-refundable. Rescheduling requests, and retainer transfers will be accommodated at the discretion of the photographer only in the event of emergency, illness, or severe weather. Your retainer will be forfeited in the event of a client scheduling error, or change of mind. Sacred Sage Photography reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, illness, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
5.1 Weather & Session Conditions
Outdoor sessions are dependent upon weather and lighting conditions. Sacred Sage Photography reserves the right to reschedule or relocate a session if weather, lighting, safety, or other environmental conditions would compromise the quality of the images or the safety of those involved.
6. Image Delivery
Unless otherwise stated in your contract:
Gallery delivery timelines vary depending on the project and season and will be communicated during booking.
6.1 Retouching & Personal Appearance
Sacred Sage Photography's editing style is natural, polished, and true to life. Standard retouching may include color correction, exposure adjustments, temporary blemish removal, minor distractions, and other artistic refinements at the photographer's discretion. Significant alterations to a person's physical appearance, including but not limited to body shape, weight, facial structure, skin texture, permanent features, or other identifying characteristics, fall outside Sacred Sage Photography's artistic editing style and are not offered. Clients acknowledge that photographs are intended to authentically represent the individuals photographed. Sacred Sage Photography is not responsible for a client's dissatisfaction with their own personal appearance, body image, hairstyle, wardrobe choices, makeup, facial expressions, or other personal characteristics captured during the session.
6.2 Black & White Imagery
Black and white imagery is an intentional part of Sacred Sage Photography's artistic style and creative voice. Certain images may be thoughtfully presented in black and white when the photographer believes it best enhances the emotion, storytelling, composition, or overall impact of the photograph. Clients who prefer that no black and white images be included in their final gallery must communicate this preference prior to their session. Final image selection and final artistic presentation will always remain at the photographer's discretion.
6.3 Re-Edits & Additional Post-Processing
Every image delivered to a client by Sacred Sage Photography is considered finished, and reflects the photographer's signature editing style. Requests for additional edits or revisions may be submitted after gallery delivery; however, approval of such requests is solely at the discretion of the photographer. If approved, additional retouching or re-editing may be subject to an additional post-processing fee based on the nature and extent of the requested revisions.
6.4 Gallery Storage & Expiration
Online galleries will remain active for up to three years, and is dependent upon the continued availability and reliability of third-party, web-based storage and gallery hosting services. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their purchased images before gallery expiration. While Sacred Sage Photography makes reasonable efforts to archive client galleries, long-term storage is not guaranteed. Reactivation of expired galleries, if available, may incur an archival or reactivation fee.
**By booking a session, clients acknowledge that they are familiar with Sacred Sage Photography's editing style and artistic approach and understand that images will not be manipulated to create an unrealistic or altered representation of themselves.
7. Artistic Style
Clients acknowledge that they are hiring Sacred Sage Photography based upon the photographer's distinctive artistic style, creative vision, editing approach, and body of work. While reasonable requests are always welcomed, exact replication of another photographer's work, Pinterest image, social media image, advertisement, or previous session will be declined. Every session is approached with creativity unique to the client, location, lighting, and circumstances of that day.
7.1 Creative Integrity
At Sacred Sage Photography, originality is a core value. Every client deserves imagery that is thoughtfully created to reflect their unique story, personality, and experience, not a recreation of someone else's. While inspiration exists throughout the creative industry, Sacred Sage Photography does not reproduce another photographer's copyrighted work, signature concepts, distinctive poses, compositions, styling, or artistic vision. Requests to replicate another artist's portfolio, social media images, advertisements, or previous work will be respectfully declined. Clients are encouraged to share ideas, preferences, and inspiration, but all final imagery will be created through the artistic interpretation and creative vision of Sacred Sage Photography. This commitment not only ensures an authentic experience for every client but also honors the creative rights and intellectual property of fellow artists.
8. Copyright
All photographs remain the sole intellectual property and copyrighted work of Sacred Sage Photography under United States Copyright Law. The purchase of photographs does not transfer copyright ownership.

8.1 Image Alteration
Images may not be altered through filters, presets, artificial intelligence editing, excessive cropping, or other modifications that substantially change the appearance or artistic integrity of the work before being published or shared publicly without written permission.
9. Personal Use License
Unless otherwise specified, portrait clients receive a personal-use license allowing them to:
Commercial use, advertising, business promotion, fundraising, publication, or organizational marketing requires a separate commercial licensing agreement.
10. Commercial Use
If Sacred Sage Photography determines that images are intended for commercial, promotional, editorial, advertising, fundraising, political, organizational, or business purposes, a commercial agreement and licensing fee may be required regardless of how the session was originally booked.

All photographs, graphics, logos, text, educational materials, downloads, videos, blog articles, and other content on this website remain the property of Sacred Sage Photography. No content may be copied, screenshot, reproduced, republished, or distributed without written permission.

Mentoring sessions, workshops, online courses, presentations, guides, templates, downloads, and educational resources are intended solely for the purchaser. Redistribution, resale, recording, reproduction, or sharing of educational materials is prohibited without

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sacred Sage Photography's total liability arising from any claim related to photography services or this website shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific photography services giving rise to the claim.
17. Children & Pets
While every reasonable effort will be made to capture authentic expressions and interactions, Sacred Sage Photography cannot guarantee the cooperation or behavior of children or animals. Session outcomes may be affected by factors including age, temperament, fatigue, weather, or illness.
18. Printing Disclaimer
Sacred Sage Photography cannot guarantee the color accuracy, print quality, or longevity of products printed through third-party consumer labs. Professional printing through Sacred Sage Photography's recommended print lab is strongly encouraged to ensure the highest quality results.
19. Portfolio & Promotional Use
Sacred Sage Photography reserves the right to use photographs created during sessions for portfolio display, website galleries, social media, marketing, publications, competitions, educational presentations, and other business-related purposes unless otherwise agreed upon prior to the session. Requests for confidentiality or restrictions on image use must be communicated before photography services are provided.
20. Force Majeure
Sacred Sage Photography shall not be considered in breach of these Terms & Conditions due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, illness, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
21. Photographer's Right to Terminate Services
Sacred Sage Photography reserves the right to end or refuse a session without refund if any participant or attendee engages in unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate behavior that places the photographer, assistants, or other clients at risk.
22. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within New Mexico.
23. Changes to These Terms
Sacred Sage Photography reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions of Service at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
